Who we are

Jan is project director of the secretariat and working to bring together all necessary stakeholders to explore, shape, and act on their projects. He has a background in Environmental and Resource Economics. He is often speaking at events and representing the secretariat. Jan speaks English, German.

Marina is part of the technical support of the secretariat and helps islands with the technical aspects of their clean energy transition. With eight years' experience in sustainable technologies, energy economics, and policy. Marina speaks Spanish, English, French, and (some) German.

Antonia's role in the secretariat spans from coordination to methodological support for the energy transition. She is happy to put her broad expertise at the service of advancing a sustainable and just energy transition in EU island communities. Antonia speaks Greek, English, Spanish, Dutch and (some) French.

Myriam leads the development and implementation of REScoop.eu’s strategy and services, and supports the coordinator on the overall management of the federation’s team and activities. She is co-leading the development and execution of the Clean energy for EU islands secretariat's Energy Academies with her colleague Antonia.

Leen is part of the secretariat’s Think Tank on legislation and regulation for islands. With her background in Energy in Buildings and 10 years of international work experience, she is helping to identify relevant policies for islands’ decarbonization and deriving dos and don’ts. She speaks Dutch, English, and French.

Lucija is part of the secretariat’s Think Tank on legislation or regulation for islands. She has a background in Electrical and Computer Engineering. At the secretariat she works to identify new relevant EU policies and regulations that help islands in their transition to clean energy.

Eelco is managing and updating the secretariat’s website. He is the website specialist who keeps the secretariat’s online presence running. He also set up the islands marketplace platform that aims to bring islands together. He speaks Dutch and English.

Anna is part of the secretariat’s Think Tank on legislation or regulation for islands. She has a background in Political Science. At the secretariat she works to identify and present a political and regulatory framework for renewable energy sources, energy efficiency and energy communities in the EU islands. She speaks English, German and Polish.

Jorge provides help to islands that struggle with financing their projects by matching them with leading  investors. Jorge has a background in Electrical Engineering and Green Finance and over 10 years of experience in energy management, sustainable finance, and consultancy. He speaks English and Portuguese.

Leandro is part of the secretariat’s finance team. He has a background in Marine Science, Technology and Management, and has more than 10 years of experience in research focused on sustainability and climate change. At secretariat, he helps to connect islands with investors or technology providers in order to implement their clean energy projects. He speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Gabi manages the external communications for the secretariat. Her many years of experience in working internationally in the field of Communications Management and sustainability related topics are contributing to an intercultural understanding and balanced communication style. She is concerned with all communication related matters, such as the secretariat’s newsletter.  Gabi speaks English, French and German.

Siora is part of the Communications Team of the secretariat. She is managing the secretariat’s Facebook and LinkedIn accounts as well as updating news and events on its website. With her intercultural communication skills and international experience, she has strong communication skills. Siora speaks German, English, Chinese, Persian, and French.

Hanna prepares and manages all the workshops, forums, and masterclasses that the secretariat is offering. She is an experienced Project Manager and provides technical support during the events as well as preparing agendas and managing participants. She speaks German, English, and Spanish.

Vanessa supports the organisation of all the workshops, forums, and masterclasses that the secretariat is offering. She is an experienced Events assistant and provides technical support during the events as well as preparing agendas and managing participants. She speaks German, English, and Spanish. 

Luisa is part of the Event Team of the secretariat and supports the organisation of the workshops and forums that the secretariat is offering. She works as an Events & Communications Assistant and provides technical support during the events as well as preparing agendas and managing participants. Luisa speaks German and English.
